Free Computer Q&A at Third Place Commons

Normally we meet at the Stadler Meeting Room in the Third Place  Commons, just north of Seattle in Town Center at Lake Forest Park  (directions and time below).  We have been offering these small group sessions for over nine years as a community service.
However, in light of the current health crisis, we are going online using Zoom for the foreseeable future.
Typically sessions are on the fourth Sunday of the month.
We are now in our ninth season of sessions.  Usually the session begins with a presentation on a topic of  general interest.  Then we spend the rest of our time chatting about the questions you bring to the room or submit in advance. Details are below:
Next Session: April 25 , 2:00 PM online via Zoom

Topic:
Personal Tech: When to Buy and When to Improve or Update

It used to be that changes in computer, phone, and tablet hardware would dictate new purchases, and with it, a new version of the operating system. Now hardware changes have slowed their rapid development, but operating systems accelerated their development, upgrading themselves once or twice a year. For “middle-aged” computing devices the question has changed from, “When should I upgrade by buying new?” to “Should I buy, or should I update what I have…and when? Join us to unravel these options and discuss what makes sense in this new paradigm.
To receive your Zoom information for this session, you may register for free through the Zoom website.  You can also submit questions for the session during registration.
